In this project, the University of Oulu Kerttu Saalasti Institute’s FMT research group investigates applying different manufacturing technologies in postprocessing of 3D printed parts. The goal is to improve the functionality and usability of the part, while making them with more tailored features. This is done by employing the ELME environment in Nivala. The aim is to create efficient 3D printing and combine it with other existing manufacturing technologies to the research and manufacturing environment in Nivala. The project is active from January 1st, 2018, to December 31st, 2020.
